Lake Skadar National Park

Directions

National parkRamsar site

The national park protects the Montenegrin part of Lake Skadar, the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula, with its reed beds, flooded forests and island monasteries. It is one of Europe's most important wetlands for birds, including the Dalmatian pelican.

Boats leave from Virpazar and other lakeside villages, and the park rents out kayaks. Fishing needs a park permit.

Visit

Fees

The park charges an entry fee; fishing, kayak hire and tent pitches have their own prices (park price list).
