National park

Mavrovo is North Macedonia's largest national park, covering the mountains of Bistra, Korab and Dešat around Lake Mavrovo and the Radika valley. Korab, on the border with Albania, is the country's highest peak.

The lake is used for swimming and boating in summer and for trout fishing in season, with a park licence. In winter the resort above the lake is a ski area.
